Garage Door Remote Not Working? Safe First Checks
A dead battery, an unmatched protocol or a blocked safety beam can look like a failed remote. Work through the simple checks first.

Keep the scope in view
These pages organize official manufacturer evidence. They do not turn a matching brand or MHz value into an exact opener-model confirmation. Use the finder or linked manufacturer manual for the next check.
Work from the door toward the remote
First check whether the wall control operates the door normally and whether the doorway and photoelectric beam are clear. Then inspect the handheld device for a documented battery and physical damage. If one transmitter fails while another still works, pairing or device condition may be involved. If the door itself moves unpredictably or a safety beam has failed, stop remote tests and arrange service. Note which controls still work so the manufacturer can narrow the fault without repeated trial-and-error programming.
